They have been selected among a very long list of applicants from all-over the world and we all want to congratulate them for being successful and look forward to seeing them on-board.
The International Fellowship offers an exceptional opportunity of working in two top-level units in the UK in a multidisciplinary environment with expert internationally renowned consultants.
At the end of the 12 months in Cambridge and London the two fellows will join two qualified International Institutions in Milan (Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori) and in New York (Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center).
The two observerships are funded by our organization and can include two weeks in Sicily in a tertiary care Hospital in Catania and some more experience in cosmetic surgery with Dr Maurizio Nava and his team in Milan.In.
Some more opportunities are offered by the Fellowship this year. The new BRESO platform for certification of breast surgical oncologist is representing leading societies and organisations involved in breast surgery specialisation and accreditation. G.Re.T.A. as a partner and founder society is willing to including the International Fellowship as part of the BRESO certification process. The two Institutions actively involved are now considering applying to become a Tier 2 Center and let the two fellows accumulate experience for the BRESO certification.
We wish the two candidates a successful journey throughout the International Fellowship and we hope they will get a sensational boost to a successful career.

There is a psychological property that I have observed in many cancer patients. This is RESILIENCE. Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress such as serious health problems LIKE BREAST CANCER, or the SARS COVID-2 pandemic. Can we learn this ability from our patients and take advantages to improve our practice in this contingency.
